Catalog Description:
Laboratory
studies demonstrating the principles of physical chemistry and fluid mechanics.
Emphasis is on laboratory safety, correlation of experimental results and on
written reports and oral presentations.
Course Objectives:
After successful completion of this course, the students will be able to
• know the basic concepts of chemical engineering profession and future trends
• have a broaden perspectives with respect to ethics and environmental
responsibilities
• design experiments, collect, analyze and interpret experimental data
• perform effectively within teams
• develop an awareness about the safety in the academic chemical laboratories
and beyond
• develop an awareness of various aspects of technical report writing
• have an ability to communicate effectively
• develop an awareness of the need for, and ability to engage life-long
learning.
