General Statement and Programs of Study

The basic philosophy of the Faculty of Engineering is to deliver a sound engineering education at both undergraduate and graduate levels for the purpose of providing the graduating students with a background which will enable them to carry out high quality engineering work. In the light of this basic philosophy, the undergraduate curricula of the Faculty of Engineering aim at:

Non-Technical Elective Courses in Engineering Curricula

 

Non-Technical Elective courses existing in all 13 engineering curricula are intended to serve in meeting the following objectives of the education of engineering students and the engineering profession:

Double Major Programs
Students seeking a double major in engineering must satisfy the requirements of both majors as stated by both departments involved as well as the requirements of the Faculty Core Curriculum. The equivalency of courses which will be considered common in both programs is determined by the departments involved.
